WITHERING

The moment a tea leaf is plucked from the tea plant, it begins to wilt naturally and stays soft.

ROLLING

As the rolling process takes place, the essential oils of the tea leaves ooze out in a repeated cycle.

OXIDATION

Tea leaves are exposed to air to dry and darken, this process adds flavour, aroma, and strength.

4.

DRYING

Removing moisture from fermented leaf particles in a chamber by vaporization of water.
